brushin’ up on my cross stitchin’ didn’t come out too bad considering I haven’t done it since I was like 10!
We went to Ebinezer’s Tree farm today. It’s right down the road from me, less than 10 miles and I’d never been there before, but that place is so cute! Zoey had so much fun, and had a huge grin on her face the whole time. There was a sugar shack in the back of the property with a little model train and hot chocolate and candy canes! Mmmmm Everyone was so nice and helpful and you could get any Tree, any size you wanted for $25 and you get to cut it down yourself. I’ll definitely get my trees there from now on!

Wellll I chopped off all of my hair. The longer hair looked funny with the short bangs I thought, and now there’s no going back. I’m not sure if I like this either but it’s new, and it’s still wet so we’ll see what it looks like when it drys and I style it a little bit

new short bangs.. I don’t know how I feel about ‘em.. do I like ‘em? or do I wanna hide under the covers till they grow back? not sure…

Hubby appreciation post! He starts a new job this morning and has been very tolerant of my mood swings and emotional twists and turns these past few months. Neither one of us is perfect but we do seem to be perfect for each other and I love this man ❤ Hope all goes well today and for the rest of his hopefully very long and successful career!
Hair cutting adventures!
I’m of the opinion that hair grows, and so I’m not usually afraid of making mistakes cutting it.. So I usually cut it myself and if it looks bad maybe I’ll go get it fixed, or just let it grow. this time I think it came out alright….
So I was feeling a little down, and discouraged with my straggly long hair, So I opted to chop it all off for a little pick me up! Pity parties in Kathryn’s world usually involve drastic changes in hair either cut or color, lots of junk food, comfy clothes and or a sappy chick flick… I definitely did all of the above today.

yep there you have my pity party snacks.. I was eating crackers and they weren’t hitting the spot so I grabbed the MandM’s and theeeen my hero Scott came home with a snickers Ice cream bar to cheer me up! what a sweetie! (I’m sure you can see now why I didn’t put this post on the weight loss blog)

so here is my boring semi greasy straggly before hair.. wahh wahh it looked worse in real life than it does in this picture.

snip snip here and a snip snip there!

a little hair in the sink…

woah! a lotta hair in the sink!

hmmm should I stop here? (I was not making that duck face on purpose, I was genuinely thinking) Nope! keep going!!! look at all that hair on my shirt! IIItchy!

nom nom Ice cream!! look at those crooked bottom teeth yikes!!

ooh look at all this hair! another little trim here, some showerin’ and blow drying and a few last minute snips there and voila!…..

my new hair! the long pieces aren’t as long as I originally wanted them but I got carried away and once they are gone you can’t put them back, so here it is! I like it!

So then with my new hair and comfy clothes I sat in the recliner and watched in her shoes, realized that my life aint so bad and now I’m off to bed
The bakery I work at was on the news!
I’m not proud of how I look in this video, but there I am! More importantly thats where I work
Zoey let me borrow this today, but she needs it back tomorrow
day 18: hair
It’s the bow! I’m getting closer and closer everyday to mastering it!
day 9: a younger you
This is the only picture I could find of me that was a decent chunk younger. I don’t know where all of my “when I was little” pictures are. This was when I was 17. It was taken in the bathroom at my church when I was there for a youth activity. I was a senior in high school and taking a photography class. And that camera is my Pentax k1000 still my favorite camera to this day.. If only I had a digital version.
Oh also that sweater was my favorite! I got it at a yard sale and was my first piece of “used” clothing, everyone thought I was gross for wanting it, I wore it almost everyday. One day I lost it and I later saw someone I know wearing it, and they had taken the pockets off and sewn up the holes.. I was soooooo pissed
And! that hair cut was the first time I had ever had my hair short. I begged my mom to trim my hair and she refused, and I didn’t have money to get it cut at a salon so I attempted cutting it myself and it just kept getting shorter and shorter, So I just had fun with it and I ended up loving it, I’ve cut my own hair ever since, with the exception of a handful of times.
Apparently this picture has a lot of history in it, maybe more than 1000 words worth, I definitely didn’t know that when I took it.
day one: your reflection
no heat headband curls
I found the tutorial for the no heat headband curls. It wasn’t as easy as I had hoped but I’m sure with practice it’ll get easier. I also didn’t use any products in my hair so the curls didn’t last, but also if I use mousse and hairspray I’ll probably get better results. So here is the picture of the hair in the headband…

I was bored so I dressed it up!
and here’s a picture of the after curls!

(Don’t mind Zoey’s room in the background)
I also tried it on Zoey but she didn’t cooperate so it fell out and yielded no curls.. but she looks cute either way.
